I have been behind the scenes fixing a few website kinks. If you run into any trouble submitting a listing, just send it directly to me and I will get it in personally.

I am putting this together on my own for now, with a few good friends around the area helping keep eyes and ears open. If you have feedback or ideas, I really do want to hear them.

“Hello, my name is Cristina Madariaga. I am a professional pilot by career and now retired. I arrived in Todos Santos in 2016 and started working at the Rancho Pescadero restaurant.
After a few months, I felt the desire to create my own place and begin this new adventure. I called it La Palapa del Sabor. It has been a wonderful experience full of ups and downs. After a few location changes, I finally have my own space. Even though it is a bit away from the town’s hustle and bustle, it is a true hidden gem in the mountains of Todos Santos.
My love for food and for my customers, who have become my family, has kept this small restaurant alive. Thank you to every customer, friend, and visitor who has supported this dream. More than a restaurant, La Palapa del Sabor is a piece of my story and my heart.”

Local Spotlight: The Palapa Society of Todos Santos
The Palapa Society is dedicated to giving local students the best possible education. They are currently raising funds to upgrade their campus internet, add solar panels, and turn empty land into active sports fields. Cash donations go directly toward outfitting classrooms with modern tools like laptops, science lab gear, and robotics software.

There is a great new spot to cool down up in Las Playitas called Ojalá Gelato, located right between Poke Loco and 5 Tacos & Beer. They transformed an old palapa into a really cool all-white hangout complete with sand floors and hanging swing chairs. They serve 12 rotating flavors of artisanal gelato, and every single one is completely sugar-free, gluten-free, and dairy-free (vegan). It is the perfect, relaxed place to grab a healthy treat and just hang out for a bit.
